Március 21-én, megalakulásuk 50. évfordulója alkalmából a Rush egy ünnepi box settel örvendezteti meg rajongóit, eddig ismeretlen felvételekkel is tarkítva.
A ’Rush 50’ CD-n 4, LP-n 7 lemezt tartalmaz, ami a Rush megalakulásának 50. évfordulójára jelenik meg, ha egy kicsit megkésve is. A trió 2015-ben befejezte pályafutását, 2020-ban dobosuk, Neil Peart hosszú, súlyos betegség következtében elhunyt. A kiadvány több olyan felvételt tartalmaz, melyek LP-n és CD-n vagy egyáltalán nem jelentek meg.
A ’Rush 50’ végigmegy a négy évtizedes karrieren a kezdetektől egészen a 2015-ös búcsúturnéig, találunk benne évfordulós festményt, egy 104 oldalas könyvet, benne a dalokhoz kapcsolódó illusztrációkat, jegyzeteket. A Super Deluxe CD/LP-formátumba még pluszban beletettek litográfiákat egy-egy dalhoz az összes stúdióalbumról, plusz egy 100 oldalas keménykötésű könyvet, benne egy képregénnyel, melyben a két főszereplő, Geddy Lee és Alex Lifeson felidézi a banda történetét.
„50 év… és csak ennyi?” – viccelődött Geddy Lee, de aztán hozzátette: „A viccet félretéve, ez egy frankó összeállítás, csak a dalok miatt is. Már a nyavalyás dallista olvasása izgalomba hoz!”
